Tibet Dog Estonia special show 29.02.2020

February 29

3.floor, 11:00-17:00

Tibet Dog Estonia is a show specialty dedicated to the country of origin of five Tibetan breeds – Tibetan Mastiff, Tibetan Terrier, Tibetan Spaniel, Lhasa Apso and Shih Tzu. The first exhibition took place in 2014. As these are rare breeds, the exhibition will take place over two years – the previous was held in 2108 and the next will be in 2022.

The most well-known and popular of these breeds is the Tibetan Mastiff – the faithful and honest guardian of our home garden. There are over 2000 Tibetan Mastiffs registered in Estonia. The Tibetan Spaniel, a small brave dog that is internally extremely large, is also very prized amongst dog lovers. Their population in Estonia is slightly over 200 dogs. Shih Tzu is also popular among small breeds. The number of Lhasa Apso is also gradually increasing and the most rare are Tibetan Terriers (there are about twenty in Estonia). Representatives of all breeds – from puppies to elderly veterans – can be seen at the show.

In addition to watching the dogs, you can also meet the dog owners and dog breeders on site.
