Flavors and Senses of the Land

Forty small producers from Central Estonia bring local flavors and entertainment to Tallinn on Saturday.

On Saturday, March 14, the Central Estonia Day “Flavours and Senses of the Countryside” will take place at T1 Centre in Tallinn, bringing together 40 small producers from Järva, Jõgeva and Rapla counties. In addition to local food and drinks, handicrafts and other rural products, the event will feature a diverse cultural program from 12:00 to 18:00.

“Visitors will meet chocolate and candy makers, BBQ and flavor masters, knitters and creators of traditional patterns, ceramic artists and clay craftsmen, as well as many other creators working with their hands. The Estonian Dairy Museum will also be present, representing the heritage of dairy products, along with organizers of experiences and workshops. The well-known farmer and content creator Farmer Tõnis will also be there with his products,” said Riina Trumm, Executive Director of the South Järva Cooperation Council and the main organizer of the event.

At the event “Flavours and Senses of the Countryside”, the atmosphere will be shaped by a cultural program from South Järva, offering entertainment and experiences for the whole family every hour. The youth band Raju Teele will perform on stage together with several solo artists, and the day will be hosted by Sulo Särkinen. Every hour, prizes and gift cards provided by Central Estonian companies participating in the fair will be raffled among visitors, the organizers announced.

The event is suitable for families, conscious consumers, and everyone who appreciates local food, quality, and authentic stories. Visitors can enjoy tastings and product introductions and meet the people who create and produce value in rural areas.

“Flavours and Senses of the Countryside” is part of the cooperation project “Sustainable Central Estonia”, which aims to increase the visibility of Central Estonia and support local entrepreneurs. The event is co-funded by the European Union and organized by Järva Arengu Partnerid, Jõgevamaa Koostöökoda, Raplamaa Partnerluskogu, and Lõuna-Järvamaa Koostöökogu.
