Exhibition “One Language – Many Stories”
From 5 to 19 October, T1’s first floor will host the travelling exhibition “One Language – Many Stories”.
Organised by the Embassy of Germany, the exhibition explores the importance of the German language and features prominent Estonians sharing their personal connections to Germany and the German language. Among those featured are Arvo Pärt, Ülle Madise, Jaan Aru, Maarja Jakobson, Urmas Klaas and many others. The photo exhibition is presented in Estonian and German and consists of 16 display panels.
The simplest way to change your world is to learn a foreign language. In this exhibition, 15 Estonians share the personal experiences they associate with the German language. How can you hold multiple homelands close to your heart, or what happens when the German language and the Sex Pistols collide? What about German humor and which effect can Berlin have on you?
