An unprecedented number of Kostabi’s paintings and graphics has reached the Estonian audience – the visitors to the gallery can see more than 50 of Kostabi’s works.
The parents of Kalev Mark Kostabi, born in Los Angeles and become world-famous in New York, come from Estonia. Both of their sons are musicians, but unlike his brother, Kalev Mark Kostabi is more known as a visual artist.
For the opening of his Estonian gallery, Kostabi, who reached the top of New York’s world of art in the 1980s, has created a new collection of blue-black-white works which were first presented to the world at the newly opened Kostabi Gallery at Tallinn Art Space.
Tallinn Art Space, which brings together contemporary Estonian artists and their creations, historical lithography traditions and contemporary audiences, is a unique art space in Estonian art scene.
